Raw food diet 30 day trial - Day 2

Woke up this morning feeling exhausted, I had a lot to do last night and stupidly didn't get to bed till 2am and then I was up with Sean at 7am.   Since I had Sean  I've been having to catch up on lost sleep during the day but I feel that I'm loosing a lot of my day.    When I started this diet  I was  hoping to start going to sleep earlier so that I could get out of napping during the day but no changes so far. It doesn't look like it's going to happen tonight either as it's already very late :   (

Weight loss

My weight dropped by 2lbs to 140.8lbs.   Net weight loss is 2lbs in 1 day.   Wasn't expecting to lose that amount in 1 day so I'm really happy.

What I've eaten today















1. Banana Smoothie -  5 bananas and 150g of celery

2.  200g of plums.












Again today I didn't eat early enough so I was starving by 1pm and didn't have energy to start cutting fruit and veg up so I  just ate  400g of grapes.

Afternoon snack

1. Slice of melon

2.  1 plum  

3. Apple












I  was really busy today so I didn't end up eating dinner until about 10pm, it seemed to take ages for me to decide what to end then took ages to cut it all up.

1. Salad -  250g of iceburg lettuce, 150g of red pepper then I made a blended 30g almond and 125g of strawberries to make a salad dressing.  

2.  150g of mango with a tablespoon of lettuce.  

I found it quite difficult to eat all of the lettuce but I managed to finish it in the end, just had to take lots of breaks.   I evetually finished dinner at about 11.30pm which is not good at all.  

Raw food diet summary

I have never been good at planning what I'm going to eat so I find this part quite difficult as I end up not eating until very late like today and I don't know what to eat during the day.     I'm also finding it quite difficult and very expensive to get enough organic food, I ended up having to buy conventional fruit and veg today as there wasn't enough organic food available.      Apart from these things  it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be, I know that I've only done 2 days but I had built it up so much in my head that I thought I'd find it really difficult to cope.   I even ended up eating more junk food than I usually would do in the lead up to the diet, as a from of self sabotage which meant that I put on even more weight.  

My totals for the raw food diet today were as follows: Calories 1493, Fibre 46g, Carbohydrates 342g,  Protein  25g and Fats 21g.

My  percentage totals for the raw food diet were: Carbohydrates 83%, Protein 6% and Fat 11%.   Just slightly over for fat today but I haven't had as many calories as I should have.   So I will try and reduce my fat % tomorrow and increase my total calorie intake.
