I am currently reading a book called Radical Forgiveness by Colin C Tipping, he says "It's perfectly natural to think that everything out there is all there is to reality"
He then goes on to say
"But maybe there's a whole lot more happening beneath that reality. We don't perceive anything else going on because our five senses are inadequate to the task. But that doesn't mean it isn't occurring"
In essence, if there are challenges in your life, even though you can taste, see and feel them. There may be an underlying reason why it's happening now, there may be something that you need to understand or to learn in order to move forwards in your life.
For example you have been suffering with very painful digestive issues for many years and just can't seem to get to the root of it. If this issue is connected to an emotional issue for example a difficult childhood, a divorce, death in the family etc which you haven't dealt with. Once you can deal with the issue the original problem may disappear.
I see this all of the time with my clients, it's astounding.
Why is this?
It is because there wasn't really any physical issue in the first place even though it was very real and painful. The physical issue was the warning sign, an alarm bell from your body to get your attention. Unfortunately these "symptoms" get reduced with modern medicine but it isn't necessarily what you need. It's like someone pressed snooze on the alarm or turned it off completely depending on how long you take the medicine for so even though the original issue still exists you are no longer being prompted to deal with it any more.
So as we start 2015 why not take some time to take stock, look within to find out if there is anything that needs healing, take into consideration if there is something happening in your life that isn't quite how you want it to be, have a think about what could be the underlying reason that it is happening, ask yourself if you have felt the same way in a situation before, are there any recurring patterns?
If so, take the time to work through those in order to heal. Healing the issue may not change the challenge especially if you're not the one creating the challenge but it will change how you deal with it.
What a breath of fresh air that could be.
Lets create a wonderful 2015
