I'm sure there are many people that would say I wanted to improve the my diet, the diet of my family and friends, learn about different diet theories etc but that wasn't my story. In May 2010 I had my beautiful son and from then until January 20143 I just didn't feel like myself. I used to think

Surely I SHOULD be happy

What am I complaining about

Get over it

Etc, etc

At that time negative self talk was playing a big role in my life, but I had no idea that it was even an issue.

I was eating so much food, more than I had ever eaten. Instead of eating 1 bar of Twix I was eating 3/4 bars a day. I could never have imagined that I would even consider eating that amount in one day.

By December 2012 I was heavier than I had EVER been apart from when I was pregnant.

Bigger than I had ever been























I couldn't get out of this doom and gloom.

I have no idea if it was or wasn't post natal depression no one put a title on it.

One night in December whilst on the internet I came across a post in a raw food forum about a Health Coaching Course at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). There was an AMAZING offer and I had a few days if I wanted to make use of that offer.

I had never heard of Health Coaching, but being a Kinesiologist and already into health I thought I'd have a look.

I read through the info and I was still interested so I thought I must have been onto something. Usually I don't like to speak to sales staff about this sort of thing as I usually feel that I'm going to be pushed into something that I didn't want to do. But I thought that I'd give them a go. And I was very happy that I did because I was able to get an even better insight into the course and if I'd enjoy it.

I signed up, using a credit as I didn't have the funds available but it felt so right.

Boy, was I glad that I made that decision.

Started the course in January and my life changed from there.

I had a new lease of life, I learnt not only about dietary theories but also about mindset and I started to look at the areas of of my life where I needed to make some changes.

I slowly started to make those changes, one of those was joining a gym in February and signing up to do my my first Triathlon. Crazy, me doing a triathlon. (Check out my blog post about that)

As I had paid for the triathlon I had to train and I did, I did as much as I could do. But that wasn't 5/6 days it was 3 days a week and not hours on end. Generally about 45 minutes, so definitely manageable.  Obviously if I could have done more that would be ideal but you do what you can and give it your all in the time that you have.

From the mindset shift that came from doing the course, I have gone to a Tony Robbins event and walked on fire, mind blowing. If you ever get the chance to go to his Unleash the Power Within, run like the wind and go it. I loved it, it was a game changer.

I have seen Deepak Chopra, have done many courses such as a branding course, public speaking course and BSchool (Marie Forleo's Businss School). Since January 2013 I have had so many many blowing experiences that I am so grateful for.

I have never looked back and I have NEVER gone back into that hole again.

I'm not saying that I have been bouncing around, singing I'm Happy from the top of my lungs every day, I'm not saying that I don't struggle with my food choices but what I am saying is that I know that I have the power and the choice as to how I live and show up in my life.

There will be ups and downs, that's life but I hope to inspire people to realize their dreams so that they can live the life they love and in turn inspire others to live theirs.
